2017 TX 300. All new 2017 Husqvarna models TX 300, FX 350, and FX 450

Husqvarna has added a brand new line-up for 2017. This is big news because it looks like this new line comes from the popular KTM XC line-up. The thing we are the most excited about is the all new TX 300. The 300 has the new frame, motor, and air shocks that the 2017 TC 250 received. The FX looks likes it received the same treatment that KTM's XCF models for 2016.

The TX 300 is around 6-7 lbs lighter than the FX450 and comes with the AER air fork. Here are some pictures and information (courtesy of Husqvarna http://www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/us/off-road/cross-country/tx-300/)

New Engine

The 300cc 2-stroke engine has for long been the best combination of unsurpassed power and lightweight construction. The simplicity and low maintenance cost of the 2-stroke motor has made it a favorite amongst riders for generations. The TX 300 features an advanced construction with shaft arrangements aimed at centralizing oscillating mass. A counter balancer shaft reduces vibration while a twin-valve controlled power valve ensures optimal performance.

New Crankcases

The TX 300 engine is designed with mass centralization as a key theme. As a result the lightweight, die-cast engine cases are developed to accommodate the specific location of shaft arrangements. Additionally the counter balancer shaft is integrated in a very compact manner having little affect on the compact design.

Transmission

A 6-speed semi-close ratio gearbox compliments the off-road usage of the TX 300. An innovative shift lever reduces dirt build up guaranteeing easy operation in even the toughest conditions.

Chromoly steel frame with composite carbon fibre subframe

The hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frame expertly crafted by WP Performance Systems is specifically designed with calculated parameters of longitudinal and torsional flex which best benefit handling and suspension functionality. The frame is finished off with a premium white powder coating and standard frame protectors guaranteeing supreme protection and durability.
The composite subframe is a design unique to Husqvarna showcasing pioneering technologies and innovation. This 3 piece component is made up of 30% carbon fiber making it remarkably light (3.1 lbs.) and also particularly strong. Specific care is taken to create a certain rigidity for optimal handling and rider ergonomics.

WP AER 48 air shock

The engine characteristics can be tailored thanks to the standard map switch that modifies the CDI curve between two ignition curves according to rider preference, conditions and terrain. Further optimisation of the power delivery can be obtained by varying the spring stiffness in the exhaust valve.

Thank you for the post from 2016, I just bought a 2017 tx 300 a few months ago and just doing some research on it and found what you have written. Just looking for some upgrades on the motor and suspension.
